Predictive modeling refers to building a statistical or mathematical model of a quantity with the objective of using the model to predict the quantity at a given future time.  It finds a full range of applications in databases and data mining. Papers are solicited for presentation at a special session to be set aside for this subject. Preference will be given to research papers addressing specific technical problems, but experience papers or case study papers with sufficient technical contents will be considered as well.

INSTRUCTIONS TO AUTHORS

This call for paper is for a session that will be part of the hosting conference. So, please submit the papers following the JCIS 2005 submission guideline. Details can be found at http://www.jcis.org/pages/call4paper.aspx. Please indicate on your submission that the paper is specifically for the Special Session on Predictive Modeling in Databases and Data Mining.  Authors are encouraged to send abstracts to the session organizer Professor Byung S.
