Rules for Homework
Math 230
Spring 2007

Mathematics is learned by doing; thus, the homework, both practice and that which is to be turned in, is very important.
These rule pertain to the homework that us to be turned in.
1. Homework is due at the beginning of class; late homework will be penalized.
2. For most assignments I strongly urge that you work in study groups.  Any group of 5 or less may turn in one paper with the names of all of the students involved.

3. The work MUST be neat.  If a paper is sloppy and difficult to follow, I will automatically give it a grade of 0.

4. Each person in a group is equally responsible for their paper.  Thus, for example, if your friend is supposed to turn the paper in and is late, you will experience the same consequence as your friend.

5. I have a low tolerance for whining.  Don't test it!

6. All work that is reasonablly necessary to support your answer must be shown.
