Retired as of May 31, 2003.

Although I have been retired for the past decade, I have continued to teach and write. But those activities are now coming to an end. I have decided that, as of the end of 2012, I will no longer do any teaching or writing. For that reason, there is no longer any justification for maintaining a professional website at the University of Vermont, and I am hereby posting this notice of my total retirement.
