Welcome to my home page. I am an Associate Professor in the Computer Science Department at the University of Vermont. I also have a secondary appointment in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. Both of these departments offer degree programs through the College of Engineering and Mathematics, the College of Arts and Sciences, and the Graduate College. I represent the Department of Computer Science in the Faculty Senate, and serve as Chair of the Curriculum Committee of the Department of Computer Science, and Chair of the CEMS Faculty Standards Committee.

In Spring 2008, I am teaching CS 256: Neural Computation, which is also cross-listed as STAT 256. I am also team-teaching EE 295B: Image Processing, with Professors Gagan Mirchandani and Kurt Oughstun.

My research interests include pattern recognition, nonparametric statistics, information geometry, neural networks, image processing, and scientific computing. You can find more information from the links in the left frame.
